Club nights provide an opportunity for swimmers to compete against each other and their own times. It is also a healthy and friendly social environment for the swimmers to interact with their friends. Our juniors start from as young as 6 years old.
Parents are encouraged to come along, enjoy a light meal at our licensed canteen facility and wind down from the working week while watching your children show off their swimming skills.
Please note: Our Club Membership fee is a separate fee to Learn to Swim and Squad training fees.

Swimmers nominate for races via Swim Central and it is important to register for Club nights as early as possible so that races can be seeded on time. Late race entries may delay the start of a meet and/or your swimmer may not register a time for that meet. To nominate for Club night, you must be a United Swimming Club member. The Committee has continued to keep Club fees as low as possible to encourage families to join and participate in the Club. Swimming Queensland fees are incorporated into our membership fees.

A typical Friday night Club night entails:
• Gates open at 6:00pm for pre-meet warm up swim
• First race – 6:30pm
• Events held are:
> 25m and 50m events for freestyle, backstroke, breast stroke and butterfly (no set order)
> Two 100m events each week – rotating between each stroke (including medley)
• Races are organised according to swimmers’ times
• The ‘little fish’ of our Club can be joined by an older swimmer who will swim in their lane for assistance.
• A half-time break allows everyone the opportunity to socialise, eat a light snack and enjoy a refreshment from our licensed canteen.
• Club night typically finishes around 8:30pm
• Club nights generally operate throughout Term 4 and Term 1 of the school year.
Upon pool entry, a $5 entry fee per family is required.
The Club (your swimmers) rely on parents to be active in running each Club night, especially working on the BBQ/canteen and time-keeping duties when allocated these volunteer roles. These activities are a great way to meet fellow parents and ensures that the Club nights operate smoothly. Families are required to perform volunteer duties on a roster basis. If your family cannot attend on your allocated night it is your responsibility to email our committee so that your role can be moved to a Club night that you are attending.
Our Committee welcomes all members and asks that everyone become involved in supporting each of the activities undertaken in support of your Club and your swimmers. “Many hands make light work”!
